THE MAIN LIVE ROOM
Live room one is Blossom’s main live room and also houses
a ‘dead’ vocal room. It contains a 9 ft x 12 ft drum
platform, constructed with a floating, rockwool based, reinforced
concrete floor in a wooden frame with aluminium edging. This risen
floor prohibits sound resonance through the floor, allowing for
a purer drum sound and preventing rogue frequencies. The walls are
lined with drapes for more natural sound deadening and the floating
ceiling is constructed with a rockwool cavity.
This room also has a chill out / jamming area with a small carpeted
section and sofa. Perfect for taking a quick break in between
takes or writing music.
This room gives the most open, natural sound.
The vocal room is a small, heavily muted room, suited to capturing
pure unaffected sounds. It can be utilised for not only vocal
recording, but is also suited to brass or other instruments that
have a high frequency range.
